Whitney & Matt // an Autumn Camp Wedding at Camp Dark Waters
October 24, 2014 , Weddings
I love when couples truly make their wedding day represent their interests and personalities and choose an unconventional location. This year I was lucky enough that two of my couples chose to get married at camp sites. Whitney and Matt picked Camp Dark Waters in Medford, and it fit them perfectly. I’ve heard lots about their extensive travels to beautiful places, and their wedding venue was no different – the fall colors made the place come alive. Whitney looked stunning in her whimsical Watters gown, and Matt’s cobalt blue suit totally popped against the freshly rained-on forest.
Though it poured all morning, the rain mellowed down once Whitney walked down the aisle, and the rest of the day it was barely noticeable. Matt and Whitney had their guests sit in a circle around them during the ceremony instead of the conventional two rows, which is something I highly recommend to any future clients (hint, hint!). The reception details were hand-crafted with love by family and friends, and I was totally stunned by the centerpieces, floral crowns, chalk signs, and homemade desserts. It’s so heartwarming to see people come together for their loved ones, and it always makes the day that much more special. The West Philly Orchestra was lively and fun, and kept the crowd dancing and warm throughout the cold autumn evening.
