New Orleans elopement in Audubon Park – Annie & Coleman
This past winter, I headed to New Orleans to photograph Annie and Coleman’s wedding weekend. The day before their larger celebration, they made it official with an intimate elopement in a place that meant a lot to them: the Audubon Zoo. It’s where they shared their first date, so it was only fitting that they married in front of a very small group of witnesses, including some very curious spider monkeys.
Now, I’ve always wanted to visit New Orleans’ famous Audubon Park, with its huge oak trees and their swooping, dreamy branches that you can climb and sit on. I knew that Annie & Coleman wanted to spend the bulk of the following day (the main wedding event!) with their guests, so I suggested we spend some time in the Park taking portraits. This gave us the best of both worlds on each day, and I loved seeing how excited these two were to be married!
Day 2 coming soon – check back over on the Blog home page to see it later this week!
