Modern Minimalist Wedding Inspiration at the Physick House Philadelphia
March 16, 2017 , Weddings
Last year I dreamed up a shoot with the gals behind Heart & Dash, and after weeks of careful planning, unexpected mishaps, and straight-up winging it, we pulled together a day that I am still so proud of. Our inspiration was for a wedding with a modern minimalist approach. What would a laid back couple looking to celebrate in a non-traditional yet sophisticated way want? How could we elevate the concept of “backyard wedding?” We styled it as an elopement followed by an outdoor dinner reception, all within Philadelphia’s historic Old City district. From the beginning, I loved the idea of “all-white everything” as a design inspiration – if you know me, you realize that this shoot is pretty on-brand! My wardrobe, my studio, even my home decor – lots of white. We played around with textures and a clean, yet refined table, mixing and matching vases, candles, flowers, and even plates! Our team of amazing vendors really knocked it out of the park on this one, and I am so excited to finally share this. A big round of applause to all involved!
