Kelly & Greg - Joshua Tree Engagement Photographer
August 10, 2023 , Couples

Just a couple hours from Los Angeles is the desert wonderland of Joshua Tree National Park. The landscape feels like you’re on another planet, and it’s a place that I’ll never get tired of. I mean, I would be thrilled to exclusively spend my time as a Joshua Tree engagement photographer. The rocks and trees, the tones of the desert, and that light! It’s a dream.
Kelly & Greg are past clients of mine who have become friends over the years. I met Kelly through the wedding industry (she’s an amazing graphic designer!), shot her micro-wedding in 2020 (featured here on Philly Mag), and we even lived just a couple streets away from each other in Philadelphia. When they recently came to California on vacation, I had the honor of photographing them again in the desert.
Winter in Joshua Tree is one of the best times to visit. It can get chilly, but it’s not super crowded, and the sunlight feels amazing instead of oppressive like it does in the summer. We had many areas completely to ourselves on this February weeknight, and got to scramble rocks and explore the park to our hearts’ content. We even were blessed with one of the most gorgeous pink & purple sunsets I’ve ever seen.
If you’re looking for a Joshua Tree engagement photographer, I’m your gal! It truly is the most magical backdrop for those wanting a more rugged, adventurous vibe. I already can’t wait to get back here later this fall for an amazing elopement!
