Jenni & Greg // a Jazzy Garden Party Wedding at the Morris House Hotel
April 16, 2017 , Weddings
What’s in between a traditional wedding and a dinner party? A non-traditional jazz-themed garden party wedding! Well, I’m sure there are a lot of variations in the middle, but for Jenni and Greg, getting together with 50 of their closest friends and family members for an outdoor celebration at Morris House Hotel was perfect. Greg’s from PA, and Jenni hails from New Zealand, so they combined traditions and made a wedding that was 100% unique. Heart & Dash made the day both beautiful and stress-free (which is so important when hiring a planner – I can’t emphasize enough how important it is to hire a team who can handle logistics as well as aesthetics), and a dream team of vendors brought in details and services catered to Greg and Jenni’s tastes.
My favorite part of the day was during pre-ceremony portraits, when Jenni and Greg started skipping down the streets of the Washington Square West neighborhood, because they were just so. damn. stoked. to get married. I also loved the sense of humor shared by everyone in the wedding party, the hilarious father toasts, the ivy draping over the walls of the hotel, and the canopy setting of the ceremony and reception. I overheard guests reveling over and over about what an awesome wedding this was, and I couldn’t agree more.
