Intimate Massachusetts Elopement // Natalie & Chris
November 29, 2017 , Elopements
Instead of a traditional wedding, Natalie and Chris opted for an intimate Massachusetts elopement. I drove up to her grandparents’ property in rural New England in the middle of October, and immediately I could see why this place was so special to them and their family. The land itself is stunning, and it truly has everything. Lush open fields, creeks and streams, hills of forests and ferns straight out of my PNW daydreams. Inside, the home was an incredible time capsule, with wood paneling, shag carpet, and photos of loved ones with very time-specific touches (ie. Dwight Schrute-esque glasses). Chris and Natalie got ready together with their 3 dogs, and walked across the creek, into the field to say their vows. In front of just an officiant, a musician, and me, they declared their love and had their first dance. Then we wandered around the woods for portraits and made some of my favorite photos ever. It was the kind of day that makes me wonder, “why don’t more people do this?”
From the beginning, this stunning autumn wedding…
