Hudson Valley Wedding at Red Maple Vineyard // Amanda & Josh
April 16, 2019 , Weddings
When I first moved east from Los Angeles, one of the biggest things I was looking forward to was experiencing seasons. Especially fall. Something about the kind of bittersweet and somber sense that summer is gone and everything is dying before it’s reborn again in spring. I’m an enneagram 4, can you tell? Anyway, shooting Amanda & Josh’s Hudson Valley wedding during the peak colors of autumn was such a highlight of my year! These two may look familiar from their Brooklyn engagement session, on an equally chilly day the year before.
Shout out to couples who will brave the outdoors even when it’s windy and cold, just for the sake of getting portraits outside. To ceremonies overlooking what feels like the whole Hudson Valley, and to wedding parties who group hug afterwards. To quirky cabins that reflect the personalities of the people getting ready in them. And of course, to every person on this day who was generous and vulnerable when emotions were involved. Especially Josh, Amanda, their friends, and families.
