Gemma & Matt // Wahclella Falls Engagement Session
August 30, 2016 , Couples
Gemma & Matt are two yoga-loving babes who drove down to Seattle to be photographed by a group of strangers. On a whim, I decided to fly out to Portland in March to attend a workshop led by Sara K. Byrne and Phil Chester, two photographers whose work I admire. While there, I learned a bunch, met some amazing people, drank a lot of coffee (a LOT), ate great food, explored, and of course, photographed some people in love. These two hiked and modeled for all of us for their Wahclella Falls engagement session during the workshop , and it was nothing short of wonderful. My passion for what I do blooms when I’m in a new place, with people who are open and honest with their love in front of my camera. Love is about being brave and adventurous, like standing on slippery rocks in front of a freezing waterfall in minimal clothing. These two have a love that’s loud and soulful, and it shows.
Oregon is magical, and anyone who says otherwise…well, no one says otherwise. The shades of green, the fog, the hiking trails, the people. It’s a photographer’s daydream. If you’re local to Oregon or somewhere in the PNW, let’s talk. I’d love to get out there again.
