23rd Street Armory & Fitler Square Pop-up Wedding
January 17, 2018 , Weddings
In the spring, I got to work on a really special 23rd Street Armory wedding with Elicia Bryan, a super-talented photographer based down south. She was looking for a second shooter for a Philly wedding, and I happened to be available. I got to help shoot Tracy & Dan’s epic day alongside a crazy talented local vendor team (credits at the end of this post!).
Tracy got ready in an Airbnb downtown, while Dan prepped at their home. The ceremony was pop-up style, and I loved how laid back it was! Everyone gathered around in Fitler Square, and the processional waiting area was the farmer’s market (how freaking cute is that?!). After they said their vows, things got weird in the best way. Tracy loves dogs, and wanted to hang out in the Schuylkill River Dog Park for some puppy time. It was an unseasonably warm April day, so we hit up Lil Pop Shop for some popsicles. 23rd Street Armory was transformed from a dark warehouse to a romantic reception setting, with floral installations and string lights (for the millionth time, people – you can NOT go wrong with string lights), and my favorite, a donut wall! After some dancing, toasts, and dinner, we headed to the river for some sunset portraits, which was one of my favorite parts of the day. It can be such a nice break from all the action to get outside and have one-on-one time with your honey!
This wedding was recently featured in print in Philadelphia Magazine – so proud to have been a part of this! A giant thank you to Elicia Bryan for having me and for allowing me to share these photos with you. More pop-up weddings, please!
