Someone asked me recently about my favorite weddings I’ve shot, and what makes them so special – why are they my favorites? Two things. Lots of love. Between the couple, obviously, but also an outpouring of love from family & friends present. Second, everything has to come together in just the right way. It doesn’t have to be perfect, it just has to be perfect for the couple.
Enter Holly & Tim’s wedding, where I left at the end of the night with a huge smile on my face. You know that these people are special because they have so many loved ones that they found it literally impossible to have a standard wedding party. These two are infectiously warm, and it was an absolute joy to watch these two families come together from different parts of the country to support Tim and Holly. From an overflowing table of homemade desserts, to the family’s radiant joy throughout the day, to the 2o women who supported Holly and prayed with her while she got ready…I can’t imagine this day being any more true to Holly & Tim’s personalities and relationship.
Big thanks go to some awesome people on this one. Nellie Morgan was my rockstar second shooter. C. Wayman Design provided the stunning florals + helped with the event coordination. The Untouchables Band kept the crowd going all night long (I don’t think there was a single moment of the dance floor being empty) and even let Tim take over on vocals for a few songs, which was as epic as it sounds (see photos below!).
Now, from the beginning…
