About Me

Oh boy. Writing about yourself is so awkward, am I right? Here’s a little bit about me…

As you might have guessed, I’m Brittney, a traveling photographer of weddings, couples in love & awesome people all around the world. I’ve been doing this since 2013, but it all really started long before that, with some cheap cameras and a lot of terrible photos of my friends. When I’m not taking photos or working in my studio, I’m probably cooking, rewatching The Office, and hanging out with my awesome boyfriend Ross.

I grew up in LA, but I’ve been on the east coast since 2007. Common questions: yes, I miss the weather, and no, I never learned to surf. I did run into a few celebrities across the years, but no one too crazy. Fun fact: Jeff Goldblum is super tall, and Peter Jackson is really nice.

Traveling is my favorite! I feel so lucky to get to travel to document people’s lives. Other favorites: ice cream, monochrome, tattoos, plants, dogs, cocktails, and tacos.

Though I prefer not to choose sides in the debate of cats vs. dogs, I do have two wonderfully fluffy cats. However, that doesn’t stop me from going to dog parks (sans dog), and baby talking strangers’ pets. I realize this is mostly socially unacceptable, but I just can’t resist a cute doggo! PS – have you discovered Dogspotting yet? You’re welcome.

As much as I am an emotional person obsessed with poetry and all things romantic, I’m also pretty silly, and I’ll probably make you laugh during photos with dad jokes and a goofy sense of humor. Because if you can’t laugh at yourself, then what’s the point of anything?

This is my job, and I think it’s the freaking best. Telling stories and freezing moments forever is the closest I can get to actual magic, and I cannot imagine doing anything else. I’m lucky enough to get to do what I love because of people like you (hey, thanks!). Head over to the “Connect” section and let’s chat! I can’t wait to meet you!
