Oh boy. Writing about yourself is so awkward, am I right? Here’s a little bit about me.
As you might have guessed, I’m Brittney, a Philly-based photographer of weddings, couples in love & awesome people all around the world. I’ve been doing this since 2013, but it all really started long before that, with some cheap cameras and a lot of terrible photos of my friends. When I’m not taking photos or working in my studio, I’m probably cooking, rewatching The Office, or going on walks with my boyfriend.
I grew up in Los Angeles before moving to Philly in 2007. Common questions: yes, I miss the weather, and no, I never learned to surf. I did run into a few celebrities across the years, but no one too crazy. Fun fact: Jeff Goldblum is super tall, and Peter Jackson is really nice.
Traveling is my favorite! I feel so lucky to get to travel to document people’s lives. Other favorites: ice cream, tattoos, plants, dogs, and tacos.
I am obsessed with monochrome. White, grey, and black are my favorite colors. My workspace? All-white. It’s becoming a problem. I’ve somehow been able to keep some plants alive, so there are a few pops of green, too, and I do have an ongoing love affair with pale pink (see photo on left).
Though I prefer not to choose sides in the debate of cats vs. dogs, I do have two wonderfully fluffy cats. However, that doesn’t stop me from going to dog parks (sans dog), and baby talking strangers’ pets. I realize this is mostly socially unacceptable, but I just can’t resist a cute doggo! PS – have you discovered Dogspotting yet? You’re welcome.
As much as I am an emotional person obsessed with poetry and all things romantic, I’m also pretty silly, and I’ll probably make you laugh during photos with dad jokes and a goofy sense of humor. Because if you can’t laugh at yourself, then what’s the point of anything?
This is my job, and I think it’s the freaking best. I’m lucky enough to get to do what I love because of people like you (hey, thanks!). Head over to the “Connect” section and let’s chat! I can’t wait to meet you.
